Custom Outdoor Blinds for Pretoria & Johannesburg Homes and Businesses
Block the Highveld sun. Keep out afternoon storms. Use your patio year-round.
Pretoria and Johannesburg winters are cold.
Evenings on the stoep end too early. Cold mornings keep you inside when you could be outside.
Come summer, UV glare and Highveld thunderstorms take over. Cheap shade cloth fades, rips, and looks tired within a season.
A well-installed outdoor blind does more than block the elements.
It gives you a year-round braai area and a stoep your family uses in June and December.
It turns your outdoor space into a functional extra room without a building project.
It protects your furniture, lowers your indoor temperature, and adds real value to your property. In Waterfall Estate, Mooikloof Golf Estate, and the suburbs of Pretoria and Johannesburg, this is the standard that homeowners are setting.

FAQs
Common Questions About Outdoor Blinds
How much do outdoor blinds cost in Pretoria and Johannesburg?
Pricing depends on the opening size, fabric choice, and whether you choose manual or motorised operation. A standard residential opening in acrylic canvas starts at a few thousand rand. Larger openings, motorised systems, or premium fabrics increase the price. We give you a fixed written quote after the free on-site consultation, so you know the exact cost before you commit.
Do outdoor blinds keep the rain out?
Acrylic canvas outdoor blinds give full weather protection when fully extended. Open-weave and woven fabrics reduce wind and sun but allow some rain through. We recommend acrylic canvas for patios where rain protection matters, and woven options for patios where airflow and the view matter more. We help you choose during the free site visit.
Are motorised outdoor blinds worth the extra cost?
Motorised blinds make sense in three situations. First, large openings where manual operation is heavy or awkward. Second, hard-to-reach windows above stairs or vaulted ceilings. Third, outdoor blinds you want to retract automatically based on wind or sun conditions. For smaller standard openings, manual operation is reliable and cheaper to maintain. We recommend the right option for your setup.
Do outdoor blinds work on an existing patio?
Yes. Most outdoor blinds fit retro-fit installations. We measure the opening, check the wall or ceiling fixings, and quote based on the existing structure. If your patio has existing pergola posts, we work with them. If not, we recommend track-guided or rope-pulley systems suited to open spaces.
How do you stop outdoor blinds from fading in the Gauteng sun?
We use UV-resistant fabrics rated for South African outdoor conditions. Acrylic canvas, ripstop and quality woven materials carry UV ratings from the manufacturer. Cheap PVC blinds fade fast in the Highveld sun. Spending a little more on UV-rated fabric saves replacement costs over the life of the product.
What size openings do you cover?
We custom build to any opening. Standard residential openings between 1.5 metres and 6 metres wide are common. Larger openings split into two or three blinds for easier operation. We confirm sizing during the free on-site consultation.
